Enexis - Mendix Hackathon
The Enexis Mendix Hackathon is a great opportunity for Mendix developers to contribute to the energy transition. In a one-day session, you will have the chance to help us find solutions to problems that are getting bigger by the day. Managing and innovating today’s energy and gas networks has never been more important. Because we depend on the reliability of the energy grid for so much, even the Dutch government has also made it a high priority.
We want to find a solution to prevent and quickly fix power grid outages. How can we detect faults faster? How can we better predict an outage? For example, can we do so by communicating with smart meters? By learning from historical data? Or perhaps by using augmented reality to make our network visible? And how can we involve society in decision-making about expanding our network?
This Hackathon will take place on 17 November 2023 (09.00 CET) at Lab 0.73 in ‘s Hertogenbosch. We have invited Joost Looij, ICT Director at ENEXIS, to share his insights how does digitisation of energy market looks like and what role Mendix platform plays in it. During the hackathon, by using your innovation and coding skills, you can help us find answers to perhaps some of the biggest challenges of our generation.
What to expect
In 8 hours, you will build solutions alongside our Challenge owners and experts. You will co-create solutions to make our energy network more reliable and secure. You will have the opportunity to pitch your idea and solution to a professional jury and get insight into Enexis’ IT department and the challenges we face every day. As a thank you for your efforts and contribution to the energy transition, you will not go home empty-handed. Furthermore, the best idea will go in the Enexis' backlog.
Will you join other Mendix developers, find solutions to relevant issues and help us shape the future?
